Salam Said

Salam Said, PhD is a Syrian academic with a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Bremen, Germany. She has taught at several German universities and has conducted research on Arab economies, socioeconomic development and Syria’s political economy, and regional geopolitics. Since 2021, she has been working as a policy adviser at the MENA Department of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) and is currently leading the regional project »For Socially Just Economic Policies in the MENA Region«. Her work includes academic publications and policy contributions on neoliberalism, economic justice, post-war reconstruction, sanctions, and regional political dynamics.
